Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

Dear UCR Osher members and friends of Osher,

Welcome to Osher at UCR’s Spring 2024 term. I am pleased to be joining you all again for a new year and appreciate your continued involvement and interest in our vibrant learning community.

UCR’s Osher program embraces everyone, welcoming members from all walks of life. Whether you're joining us from another Osher program or you're a longtime member returning to enrich your learning journey, we're delighted to have you with us. Our doors are open to all, and we celebrate the richness that each individual brings to our community.

As we embark on the 2023-2024 membership year, we invite both returning and prospective members to explore the diverse array of courses and events we offer. Whether you're passionate about history, literature, sciences, arts, or special events, there's something for everyone at Osher at UCR. Our commitment to providing quality educational programming for mature adults remains steadfast, with in-person and online options available to accommodate varying preferences and circumstances.

As we navigate the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19, rest assured that the safety and well-being of our community remain paramount. We continue to prioritize safety measures, including the recommendation of face coverings indoors and adherence to vaccination guidelines.

As John Dewey aptly said, "Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself." I look forward to embarking on this enriching journey with each and every one of you.

Warmly,

Johnna Norris
