They can be powerful tools to provide for yourself or your loved ones while supporting your favorite cause in the future. We'll explore ways to accomplish your planning needs – like boosting your retirement income – and make a positive impact in the community. RSVP

We'll look at the mechanics of the program to find ways to maximize benefits and avoid pitfalls. Did you know that there are over 500 different ways to claim benefits, that you can claim 50% of your ex-spouse's benefits, or that you can earn 8% per year by delaying benefits? Attendees will have the opportunity to request a free, personalized assessment.

Oct 21, 2015 -- Designing Your Ideal Retirement / Sergio Bohon, CRPC, CDFA

We all want peace of mind in retirement. The trick is how to achieve it. It all starts with a well thought-out plan. In this workshop, a financial advisor will walk you through what to consider as you design your plan, what options are available to you, and how you can match your plan to your desired reality. Even if you have a plan in place, the changing landscape means it’s good to see if it still suits your needs. No one can say what the future holds, but you can reach your destination more easily with a road map.

Wed., Oct 14, 2015 -- Putting Your Plan in Motion & Aging in Place / Gigi Maceda, CA Licensed Professional Fiduciary

You’ve created your estate plan. Now what? In the first half, we’ll talk about when to enact certain parts of your plan – for example, to address capacity issues – and what to do when things go wrong. New laws, a different financial market, and your own changing circumstances also mean that it’s good to review your documents now and then to see if they still meet your needs. In the second half, we’ll talk about how to plan for the possibility of in-home care and what to do now so you can live the life you envision in the future. This is crucial information if your goal is to stay in your home in your golden years.

Wed., Sept. 30, 2015 -- Putting the Pieces Together / Peter Bochnewich, Esq.

Deciding who should get your possessions is only one piece of the puzzle in creating an estate plan. In this session, we’ll walk you through the essential components of a good plan. We’ll address questions like: What is the “right” plan for you in 2015 and beyond? What should happen when you can’t take care of yourself? Who will make sure the bills are paid? What are the medical steps you want to be taken when the time calls? The goal is to answer these questions in your plan so your loved ones won’t be left wondering.

Wed., Oct 7, 2015 -- All About Gifting / Panel Led by Tony Troung, CSPG

You may have heard the old saying that in giving, you receive. Indeed, you can make a gift and be better off for it. But did you know some gifts may be taxable – like adding someone to the deed of a home or making an interest-free loan? We’ll explore whether it’s better to give some things to your heirs during your life versus through your will; which assets are better to give to your family and which to charity; and how to structure certain gifts to get the best results for both you and the recipient. This session will be led by a panel of professional advisors.
