Message from Director Carolyn Stark
From the Desk of Director Carolyn Stark
As a land-grant research university, UCR is committed to partnering with our various communities to effectively utilize and apply the university's knowledge, resources, and expertise in order to help address the needs and problems facing our global society. The vision for the UCR Palm Desert Graduate Center is to act as a catalyst for the economic and cultural diversification of the inland desert region. By forging close ties to the community and its leaders, we contribute to an improved quality of life for the area.
The UCR Palm Desert Graduate Center is the home to several innovative graduate degree programs, such as the Master of Fine Arts – both in a traditional format and in a low residency format. The Executive MBA, offered by the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCR, debuts in fall 2009 and has been designed for mid-level managers about to take their organization to the next level.
I am truly proud of all we have accomplished in the short time since UCR Palm Desert opened its doors for our inaugural class of students in 2005 and I am energized by the challenges that lie ahead of us as we build our presence in the Coachella Valley.
I hope you take a moment and browse our Web site and learn about all the different ways we are reaching out to the community.
Best wishes,
Carolyn Stark
Executive Director, Palm Desert Graduate Center
